Background
I found my way into design through club culture, flyers and record covers. After working in design studios in Brighton, I moved to Madrid where I worked for an editorial and brand design studio for 12 years. Now based in the South West I’ve worked in studios as a Design Director, and most recently as Creative Director of Hello Communications. I work freelance, offering creative services to clients and studios.
Experience
I've worked with businesses and colleagues from all parts of the world including Spain, Portugal and Norway, dealing with everything from large corporations to small startups. My career in a diverse range of roles has given me a broad experience of the workings of a design studio, from creative direction and presentation, to client and project management.
Approach
Two things inform my design approach; ideas and people. Whether working with a creative team or a client, collaboration and understanding is the key to producing effective work. My design process is based on research based thinking; sifted, filtered and condensed into solid ideas with practical applications.
